Google has been working on making mobile-first indexing the default behavior of its search engine. It means Google Search primarily uses a page’s mobile content for creating its search index and ranking. It’ll be criteria for all websites from September 2020. It does make sense as more internet traffic is generated on mobile devices than on desktops. Besides this, 85% of adults think that a company’s website when viewed on a mobile device should be as good or better than its desktop website.
